This is the all plastic Automatic Buttonhole foot for many Singer computerised sewing machine models. It is a 1-step buttonhole foot and actually measures the length of the buttonhole as it is being stitched. Every subsequent buttonhole is sewn to the exact same length. Only the starting point of each buttonhole needs to be marked.
