Like it's smaller siblings this machine is easy to handle and perfect for taking to and from classes but still maintains that robustness and durability of the grander Pfaff sewing machines. What this machine has that some other machine lack is brains, the 260C is computerised as opposed to the other two mechanical versions. The benefits that computerised sewing machine have over mechanical machines is they do all of the thinking for you. All you need to do is set it up and switch it on, select your stitch and the machine does the thinking, it automatically as if by magic programs your stitch, selects the correct length, selects the correct width and puts you needle in the right position. Not only that you can tell the machine how fast YOU want it to sew, it can't run away from you and will forever be under your control.

The 260 is cute and it's quirky but it also packs a punch, in the form of an over powerful motor, the usual motor size for a machine of this caliber is 35-50 watts but the Pfaff Smarter 260C has a 70 watt motor!!! but what does it mean? in a nutshell, it's tough, it will make lighter work of layers and thick materials such as denim and canvas. The additional strength also makes it extremely versatile when it comes to creative sewing and textile art or even pictorial freemotion with obscure threads, fabrics and materials while keeping a beautiful stitch.
