Juki HZL-G220 Sewing Machine

This sewing machine is the next step up in the HZL series. It’s the G220 model. It has many of the same functions and stitches of the G120 but it has additional functions that many users would not be without. Let me explain more!

It is a powerful machine that can sew through 13 layers of denim. It has over 21 options to set the needle left/right position when in straight stitch mode.

With the best auto thread trimming function, there's no need to get the scissors out after a seam has been sewn. A quick press on the thread trimmer button will instantly cut both the top and bobbin threads very close to the fabric being sewn.  It very cleverly pulls the top thread to the underside before cutting..! This not only eliminates thread waste but saves time and neatens the seam.

The Juki HZL-G220 has the Auto Lock Stitch with the addition of programmable thread trimming. This clever computerised sewing machine will automatically lock stitches at sewing-start and sewing-end, then cut the threads, no need to use reverse or even reach for the scissors.

A selection of 180 patterns including one font in upper or lowercase. 22 utility patterns, 8 buttonhole types, 10 quilting, 40 decorative patterns. Names or phrases can be saved in the machine's memory. Up to 70 characters, which can be used over and over again.

The HZL-G220 has an automatic thread cutter, to cut both the top and bottom threads at the end of a seam, it saves getting the scissors out. We also love the quick bobbin preparation system, once the bobbin is wound with thread, simply drop the bobbin into position and follow the threading path, the last step will trim off the thread end to the correct length, and ready to start stitching without having to do one stitch by hand. 

The Needle up/down is instant or it can be programmed to stop sewing with the needle in or out of the material. It has the option to use the foot control like a conventional machine but also allows the user to have the option to run the machine using the green start/stop button.  This is particularly useful when doing free-motion stippling in conjunction with setting the maximum speed slider.

It’s a joy to sew with and is silky smooth when running at full speed of 900 spm.
