Janome HD2200 Sewing Machine

This model doesn’t have the bells and whistles of the latest computerised sewing machinery and ok, it's been around for years but why change a good sewing machine...! It's been tried and tested, it really is extraordinarily strong with a metal internal body, that's ideal for schools and colleges and hard domestic use.

The Janome HD2200 sewing machine (previously 2522 LE) has a top loading bobbin system and is designed to be quick, simple and trouble free. Easily accessible manual thread cutter to avoid tangled threads. Plus, changing to another foot is a simple button press, which is handy since it includes 8 presser feet in total.

It is packed full of practical features for simple trouble-free sewing. The HD2200 is a strong Janome with an aluminium body and a top loading jam proof bobbin system. It has a convertible sleeve arm for circular sewing, which also doubles-up as an accessory storage tray. One of our images shows the automatic needle threader, which is a new feature.

This HD 2200 features 22 stitches and has a fully automatic one-step auto-sizing buttonhole. Each stitch is selected by rotating the dial on the right side, you can see the stitch selected in the window. It combines simplicity with elegance and is packed full of practical features.

On the front panel, the built-in information window tells you the most suitable foot, stitch length and width to use for the pattern you have chosen, and the HD2200 has a drop feed facility for free-motion embroidery. 

Use the switch on the foot control to slow the machine down to a steadier pace for novice sewers, or while creating free-hand embroidery.

The lift-up lid gives access to the bobbin winder, thread tension, foot pressure and horizontal thread holder. There are also individual presser foot storage compartments. Printed on the inside of the lid are quick access instructions for threading and stitch setting.
