Janome 230DC Sewing Machine

It boasts an arsenal of 30 stitches, LCD screen, 3 styles of fully automatic buttonholes, needle up/down, start/stop button, max speed setting, auto needle threading and much more. As well as getting a cracking sewing machine full of advanced functions, the 230DC comes with a hard cover and extension table.

As previously mentioned, it has thirty stitches, including a variety of decorative, quilting and satin stitches. Each stitch can be selected on the LED screen using the simple arrow keys to navigate to your desired pattern number. Pre-programmed and optimised for best sewing results, every pattern can be adjusted in length or width if desired.

With a jam proof bobbin, there is a clear plastic bobbin cover allowing you to easily check the amount of thread left on your bobbin: so there is no excuse for running out of bobbin thread whilst working on large projects. It has programmable needle up / down, something that is invaluable when doing patchwork.

The Janome 230DC is well suited for dressmakers too, as it includes keyhole buttonholes sewn out in one step to the correct size for any button. When quilting, the user will find a selection of quilting specific stitches. Stippling or free-motion embroidery can be fun, and the 230DC includes a maximum speed slider, which can be set even when the machine is running. Once set, no matter how far you press the foot control, the machine will never go faster than your pre-determined speed setting. Ideal for quilters and free-hand embroidery.

When a seam has been sewn, it is possible to set the 230DC to sew a few stitches in reverse and tie off the start and end of a seam automatically, all at the press of a button.
