Brother Innovis NV1300 Sewing Machine

The Innov-is NV1300 sewing machine is a new edition to the Brother range. It's computerised and packed with features. For example, after stitching a seam, all that is needed, is a press on the "thread trimming" button and hey-presto both the top and bottom threads have been cut and trimmed. No need to get the scissors out, plus it is a big time saver when needing to sew many patchwork pieces together.

The whole machine is very smooth, even when running at great speed. The feed unit is the advanced square system, so just like the hook it rotates in the same direction making it a great quilter's sewing machine with far less vibration that some other machine's often have.

Stitch options are printed inside the top cover. Each can be selected using the touch sensitive keys. The stitch is shown on screen where you can adjust the width or length or even the sideways needle position when top stitching a seam. Choose from 5 alphabet styles, satin stitches, cross stitches, quilting stitches including the hand-look quilting and stippling stitches and ofcourse buttonholes and dressmaking stitches. However, if that is not enough, you can even create your stitches by using the "My customer stitch" function. There is no end to what can be achieved on this new Brother NV1300.

Automatic one-step buttonhole in 10 styles.
Large 210mm work space to the right of the needle. Ideal for large sewing projects such as quilts, curtains, etc.
My Custom Stitch function - This I really like on a machine at this price. It allows you to design your own decorative stitches and save them to memory for future use.
Advanced needle threading, plus lay in threading and fully automatic top thread tensions.
Bright LED lighting lights the full work area.
Drop-in bobbin, which when in position, cuts the thread end to the correct length, ready to start stitching.
Handy knee lift which will free up your hands to control larger fabric pieces.
Lock stitch button. At the touch of a button automatic tie-off stitches can be easily sewn at the beginning and end of seams.
Slide speed control - adjust the sewing speed from slow to fast. This can also be used to adjust the stitch width whilst sewing.
Sideways feed system can sew in 4 directions.
Pattern mirror imaging will create a mirror image of your stitch pattern.
