Brother Innovis A16 Sewing Machine

If your wanting a no nonsense sewing machine that’s very well manufactured, reliable and has many usable features for every day use, look no further than the Brother Innovis A16.

It is an easy machine to use and will suit most users from a starter sewer to an expert dressmaker. With 16 stitch functions it covers all the main stitch types for example, straight, zigzag, blind hemming, overedge, stretch stitching and 3 different types of one-step buttonhole. Other stitches can be used for quilt making, mending or home decor jobs.

As you can see from the images, this Brother A16 has the LCD screen, which displays the stitch width and length, both are preset for each stitch as soon as it is selected via the dial. Width can be overridden in standard settings from 0 – 7 mm wide and length form 0 to 4 mm.

Turning the stitch selection dial shows the selected stitch in the window and the recommended presser foot to be used.

We also love the advanced needle threader the Innovis A16 offers. It is far superior to the regular  auto needle threaders on most sewing machines. Brothers A16 threading system can be used to thread the machine in seconds...and with only one hand, even through the needle eye!

What is F.A.S.T..?

F.a.s.t, is a time saving feature and stands for Fast And Simple Threading.  It relates to the bobbin winding system, which is not only speedy, it also has a thread cutting blade built in to snip the thread, this saves getting the scissors out..!

The "Quick set bobbin system" also has a clever thread end cutter built in. Once the bobbin is loaded with thread, simply drop it in the bobbin holder and follow the threading path in an S shape, as you pull the thread taught it will be trimmed off to the perfect length ready to start stitching as soon as the transparent bobbin cover is located back into position, again no need to get the scissors out, its a real timesaver.
