Singer HD0405S Heavy Duty Overlocker

The Singer HD0405S can overlock 6 types of stitch. Using between 2 threads and up to 4 threads, it is very versatile and covers all the most popular overlock stitches that one would use for garment construction, repairs or home decor.

The longer stitch bed, once removed acts as a storage compartment for your overlocking accessories. The sleeve-arm is perfect for small items like cuffs or childrens clothing. The stitch bed itself has a stainless steel cover for maximum durability. It has its own carry handle for moving around if needed.

The Singer heavy duty hd0405s has a faster stitching speed of up to 1300 spm but thanks to the electronic foot pedal, the speed can be easy controlled with this special electronic foot pedal. Yes, i will also sew at a much slower speed for novices or delicate materials.

Clip on the thread end and fabric end catcher which is included with your machine and keep your stitching area clean and lint free.

Overlock width can be adjusted from 3.5 mm to 5.7 mm. Also the length can be set from 0 to 4 mm. Differential feed ratio can be set from 1:0.7 to 1:2 to gather or stretch the material while overlocking. You can either use the fabric trimmer or move it to a none cutting position.

We love the ability to overlock using only 2-threads. Simply place the converter into place and stitch with only 2-threads, perfect for fine fabrics like organsa.

Another feature we love is the quick push/pull on the small lever, to enable disengagement of the rolled hemming function. Its a real time-saver when you are busy overlocking and just want to get on with your project. No need to start screwing different needle plates into position!

The large drop down flap reveals the loopers. It also shows the threading paths you have to follow and the coloured lines which makes threading easier. There are also quick instructional images showing how to install the 2-needle converter. There is a manual included which covers this in more detail if needed.
