Bernette Funlock B48 Overlock/Coverstitch

The Bernina Bernette B48 is a dual overlock/coverstitch machine, of Swiss design, has a total of 23 stitches which include 4 combo stitches, 1 chain stitch, 3 cover stitches and a massive 15 overlock stitches for all types of sewing projects.

The Bernette B48 offers numerous practical functions, giving you a straightforward introduction to overlocking and cover stitching, in a single combined unit. A vast variety of fabrics can be sewn, it can handle layers of denim, delicate lightweight fabric, and where this machine excels, is when you start to sew stretch materials. The differential feed can be set to either, stretch the fabric as one overlocks to create a lettuce edge or gather, to produce lovely ruffles on lightweight materials.

It has a large 87mm working area to the right of the needle and a bright LED light to provide good visibility.

The B48, like other models in the Funlock series, has the beauty of differential feed, which can be adjusted whilst sewing and simple threading of the looper and needle, thanks to the easy to follow coloured markings.

The knife drive is from below, so the stitch widths can be easily adjusted with one hand, with the overlock stitches ranging up to 7mm wide, the cover stitches to 5.6mm wide, the combo stitches up to 10mm wide and the rolled hem stitches up to 1.5mm wide.

The Bernette B48 Funlock is also speedy, it can reach speeds up to 1300 stitches per minute.
