The ex-demo Brother Stellaire XJ1 is both a sewing and embroidery machine and is one of the most advanced models Brother has released. The Stellaire XJ1 has been named the perfect companion for all sewing enthusiasts, offering unmatched scope for creativity.

This particular ex-display model has a super low stitch count of only 17240 stitches, which means it has only sewn 17k stitches or about 4 designs.

The XJ1 includes ground-breaking My Snap Design technology which gives you a pin sharp view of your sewing area from the touch of a button.

With Brothers camera technology you can clearly position your embroidery designs accurately, easily aligning embroidering positions. Not only powerful and technologically advanced, it includes loads of new or improved features.

Bigger is indubitably better with this new Stellaire Innovis XJ1 embroidery and sewing machine and better it definitely is! Improvements to both the largest embroidery hoop and the embroidery unit results in accurate large-frame embroideries whilst the long arm design will accommodate quilts in both sewing and embroidery mode.

With the larger embroidery frame - (this new one is a fantastic 240 x 360mm - 9.5 x 14 inches) - you need extra stability built into your frame. The steel-reinforced sections and new rubberised grip, hold the fabric better than anything we've seen before.

As soon as you encounter the new XJ1 Stellaire, the improved 10.1" tablet-style touch screen will just blow you away. Detailed and clear colour display, with 1.6 million colour display and a crystal clear 1280x800 resolution, with lightning-quick processing speed. Every screen function is logical and simple to follow. You can Drag and Drop, Pinch to Zoom just like a regular tablet. You can view stitches in magnificent detail and editing or combining your embroidery designs is now so easy to view on screen, that you'll take your specs off!

Unbelievable and marvelous! This Innov-Is XJ1 model uses an app for smartphones to snap an image, send it directly into the machine, convert it into embroidery and then offer the option to stipple inside and/or outside the design. You may prefer to convert it into fill stitch and running stitch and there’s also an option to just import an image from your USB stick and convert to embroidery. The process is quick and easy...the results are dynamic!

Free-motion stippling is an art that eludes many quilting enthusiasts. Until now, you would have needed to create auto-stippling in an embroidery software, such as PE-Design on a computer, now the Innov-Is XJ1 has a one-touch stippling function.

It is so very simple to add a stunning effect that runs effortlessly around the contours of a design you have just finished sewing out. You can automatically create embroidery from an image using My Snap Design centre wirelessly as well; Its a feature we love and amazing to demonstrate this feature in front of customers as we always get a "WOW, that's clever". Perfect Sewing with Laser Guideline and Dual Feed Foot.

The Laser Guide Line that's built into the Brother XJ1 machine enables you to position your fabric perfectly in line with the needle; perfect for stitching in the ditch on hard to see ditches! You can also set it up to follow the fabric edge so that it guides you whilst the needle is sewing quarter of an inch to the left (you choose the distance). Included with the machine is an amazing electronic Dual Feed Foot that grips the top of your fabric for the best feeding ever. The easy-to-use laser guide position can be adjusted within a 14 mm range using the LCD screen.

Illustration Snap - Explained - For example - a child has a favorite book, you could take a snap of an illustration from the book, send it wirelessly to your embroidery machine where that image can then be converted into an embroidery design and stitched onto a gift. Such a clever auto punch feature, to turn just about any image into embroidery directly on this XJ1.

Take a snap of your fabric in the hoop - Why is this important?...

If you have patterend material and wish to place an embroidery design in an exact position, take a snap and send it to your machine. The screen will display your fabric in the hoop where you can then select your design and place it on the screen exactly where you want it to land on the fabric. It removes the guess work, as you can visualise the design before it is stitched. You can position the design manually or use the "snowman" labels and built in camera, to detect where you would like your design to be sewn. The machine will scan the hoop and position the design precisely where you want it.
