My Bernette B70 B79 will not embroider, even after I press the green start button?

We are often quizzed over the phone when the customer cannot get their new Bernina Bernette embroidery machine to operate.

The customer is telling us they are pressing the green start button, but the machine will not start to embroider.

The simple fix is to let the Bernette B70 or B79 calibrate to the embroidery unit and hoop correctly.

The machine does the task of calibrating itself, but the correct sequence needed is especially important. Customers often get confused about it, hence, we often hear "when I press the green button for two seconds the machine will not embroider. Whats going on?"

The video explains the steps needed and you can watch as one of our sewing machine engineers walks you through the steps one, by one.

It is the exact same steps needed on many Bernina embroidery machines.

1. Make sure the machine is powered down and off before fitting the embroidery unit.

2. First we calibrate the embroidery unit we have just fitted.

3. We then calibrate the hoop size we have just attached.

4. We are now ready to embroidery, we press the green start button for two seconds, and start to embroider.
