Bernette B70 DECO Embroidery Machine

Bernette has introduced three new models into their new 70 series. The B70 Deco is an embroidery-specific model. This machine packs a punch with some never-before-seen features on a Bernette. It’s a step or two up the ladder for Bernette in my opinion.

Bernette B70 Deco includes 200+ built-in designs and 7 embroidery alphabets, each can be selected on the bright 5” colour touch screen.

Swiss design has taken a huge step forward, as this new B70 uses the same internal interface software as Bernina which is very user-friendly. With the screen being so large there is plenty of space to get an unobstructed view of the design that is being edited. Bernina/Bernette use neat layers to show any additions to your custom design. Each layer can be removed, hidden, or selected just by touching it.

When you need to grab an embroidery design from the internet, there is no need to search and search to find the correct file format, as in the past. The B70 Deco can load almost any design file format.! exp, vip, vp3, hus, pec, dst, jef and pes designs can be read and sewn out by the B70. Now is the time to swap designs with your friends without worrying about compatibility.

Fonts can be added to the design and edited on screen, adjust letter spacing, arc, resize, move, mirror or even change the stitch density, change colours, and view design on the screen before stitching it out into one of the 3 hoop sizes that are included.

Want more fonts? this is the perfect machine. Included is the cloud-based 30-trial Toolbox Lettering software for MAC or Windows which gives an extra 100 alphabets to choose from, with 6 text shapes and 5 two-tone fonts, it comes with 200 embroidery design elements as well. Use the optional Toolbox editing software to modify designs or objects.

Just before you stitch out a design, why not use the basting function, which helps fix the fabric on the stabiliser. A basting stitch is often only available on higher-end machines. It is best used when embroidering on delicate fabrics. You can use stabiliser in the hoop and lay your delicate fabric on top of the stabiliser, use the basting function stitch to fix your fabric to the stabiliser, hence no need to actually put the fabric into the hoop.

Once we have edited the design or added the text we need, lower the presser foot, the green start button will illuminate. To start to embroider, the green start button must be pressed for 2 seconds to bring the B70 to life, and It stitches lovely, as one of our close-up images shows. Last but not least, being of Swiss design, the Bernette B70 Deco has an eco mode to save electricity consumption, its a nice environmentally aware feature. At any time the "eco" icon can be pressed to save power.

For the user's convenience, Bernette has made available the full GUI onscreen interactive application, where you can test-drive the B70 from your PC. Try using the machine setting, add embroideries or lettering, in fact, you can use it as a learning tool without having the machine in front of you. Simply download the GUI application here.
